1818 Grant Event

1818 Grant Event
Kelsey Bequette (SLU DPT Class of 2021) and Lauren Foster (SLU DPT Class of 2022)

Saint Louis University Physical Therapy students had a great day volunteering their time to participate in an 1818 grant funded event last week. Students interacted with children ages 3-12 years old from Unleashing Potential, a St. Louis Community organization through various stretching, balance, exercise, and educational activities.

The goal of the project was to introduce children to the concept of pursuing higher education as well as the physical therapy and athletic training professions to potential future healthcare professionals. We had a great time collaborating with our community partner to advocate for our professions and for the futures of the children in our community. We are looking forward to working with this program and these children in the future!
